ZADAHAN Arabian Horses

Arabians for all the family!

Khalil's ancestry

Khalil's sire is Simeon Salil (by Asfour impWG [Malik x Hanan]

ex Damirah impWG [Hadban Enzahi x Hamdi OX]). P.C.KatyPix

Salil is an imposing liver chestnut stallion who is known for his outstanding movement and his kind nature,

he has been shown successfully at A class shows and has progeny in the showring and in the endurance field.

His gelding son Shalzara Park Shaitayn won the 160km NSW State Championship endurance ride.

It was Shaitayn's first 100 mile ride!

Khalil is one of only two entire sons of Salil to date...

Salil's other  son is National Reserve Champion 2000, Shalzara Park Rhames.

Salil's saddle career is eagerly awaited by his fans! For more Salil pix, see Arliah's page.

Salil's sire needs no introduction as many people consider Asfour to be their ideal Arabian and one of the

all-time great stallions of the breed. Asfour's sire is Malik, an exotic stallion, a result of the famous cross of

Hadban Enzahi EAO and Ghazal EAO and his dam is the immortal Hanan, an Alaa El Din EAO mare who has

founded a dynasty in her own right with sons like Asfour, Jamil and Salaa El Dine.

Asfour is a superlative individual with true desert type and electric movement and is also a champion sire,

his sons include the black "Million Dollar Horse" Simeon Sadik (Halsdon Arabians, UK) and the current

Egyptian National Champion stallion Simeon Sharav.

Asfour's place in history is assured!

   Asfour

Salil's dam is the beautiful 1985 Australian Champion mare Damirah, a tall elegant mare of classic

Hadban type, she was famous for her fantastic movement and kind nature. She has been described

as looking as though she is moving even when standing still.

                 Damirah

Salil is double Hadban Enzahi EAO (Nazeer x Kamla), the chief sire at Marbach in his day and

he has two more lines to Nazeer through his other illustrious sons Ghazal EAO and Alaa El Din EAO.

This is four close crosses to Nazeer, one of the great progenitors of the breed who was himself the head sire

at the Egyptian Agricultural Organisation and was also a successful racehorse in Egypt.

Hadban Enzahi EAO

Khalil's dam is Pembac Arliah (by Gai General impUSA [Gay Count x Gai Moonbeam] ex

Pembac Park Afaria [Talika Musafah x Cedardell Sharia iidUK]). P.C.KatyPix

Arliah is our foundation mare and absolutely irreplaceable to us! She is a precious daughter of an Australian

"great"...Gai General was a stallion who did it all! He competed with huge success in halter and every

performance field available, with Championships between the ages of 2 and 18. He was also a most consistant

sire, having sired innumerable horses that have followed in his great shoes and created legends of their own.

He is number 7 on the lifetime sires list with over 170 progeny to his credit.

He was heavily linebred to another progenitor of the breed, Skowronek, bred in Poland but considered Crabbet

after his influence there became world-wide.

Gai General impUSA

One of the best known Gai General progeny in latter years, is the gelding Pembac Park Caleb (alias "RM").

In 2000 "RM" was named World Champion Endurance Horse!

"RM" also helped the Australian team win the gold medal in 2000 at the World Endurance Championships in Compiegne, France.

Gai General was known for his great beauty (that famous Gainey type and beautiful face), his beautiful

movement and his people-loving temperament in addition to his practical abilities and Arliah has inherited

her sire's quality and temperament in spades!

Nothing is too much trouble for her and her movement gives me goosebumps!

She is part of my soul.

Mustafa impWG                                                                                     Al Karim Sirhalima impUSA

Arliah's dam is by Talika Musafah, a son of the great stallion Mustafa impWG (Hadban Enzahi x Masarrah),

who is a three-quarter sibling to Salil's dam Damirah. Mustafa is another Australian great! He too was

equally known for his halter, saddle and siring abilities. He is number 1 on the lifetime sires list with 290

progeny to his credit.

This is another cross to Hadban Enzahi EAO, hence, Khalil is linebred to this excellent stallion with three crosses to him.

Khalil is also linbred to Hadban's great sire, Nazeer, with six crosses to him.

Mustafa was bred to one of Australia's top show mares, Talika Splendour. Splendour is a halter, saddle and

harness champion and a daughter of yet another Australian great, the black Egyptian Al Karim Sirhalima

impUSA, a grandson of Nazeer via his sire Ansata Ibn Halima EAO, he is number 5 on our lifetime sires list

with 240 progeny.

Splendour's dam, Himar, is a great in her own right, a daughter of the mighty Count Manilla impUK and Our

Queen, a Zadaran daughter who was the record-holder for most number of foals in a lifetime. Himar founded a

dynasty for Talika.

Arliah's tail female line is equally illustrious, she traces to the great mare Zaria impUK (by Argos PASB, [by

Nabor and out of Bask's full sister Arfa] ex Zahri [by Dargee, twice British National Champion stallion and out

of Ziree El Wada, a Naseel mare]), through Zaria's daughter Cedardell Sharia iidUK, a full sister to Sharia (a

British Champion mare) by the Mikeno son Shahid ex the Grojec PASB mare Sherrara. Arliah is, to the best of

our knowledge, the last breeding mare directly of this line.

Zaria's line has recently undergone a revival with the discovery that they show great talent in the endurance

field; her son Cedardell Zanzibar is proving himself as a sire of elite endurance horses.
